The Ngāti Pāoa Iwi Trust has made a submission opposing the Principles of the Treaty of Waitangi Bill.

Ngāti Paoa Urges Immediate Action to Combat Invasive Seaweed on Waiheke Island

The rapid growth of the invasive seaweed species, Exotic Caulerpa, around Waiheke Island poses a serious threat to local marine ecosystems. Ngāti Paoa is calling for urgent community adherence to new restrictions, including a rāhui on anchoring, to prevent the spread of this invasive species and protect the island's marine environment.
