Ngāti Pāoa Iwi Trust Notice of Day of Election, Candidate Names & Notice of AGM

Notice is given that an election will be held on Friday 13 November 2026 for seven (7) Trustees for the Ngāti Pāoa Iwi Trust.

NOMINATIONS

Nominations for the seven (7) Trustee positions closed at 5pm on Friday 18 September 2026. The following people have been duly nominated:

As there are more candidates than there are vacancies to be filled, an election will be held between the listed candidates on Friday 13 November 2026.

METHOD OF VOTING

Voting will be held under the first-past-the-post electoral system, by way of postal and online ballot. Voting documents will be posted and emailed to all adult registered members of Ngāti Pāoa Iwi Trust from Monday 12 October 2026. Voting will close at 5pm on Friday 13 November 2026. If voting by post, completed voting documents will be accepted up until Monday 16 November 2026, provided they are postmarked on or before Friday 13 November 2026.

MEET THE CANDIDATE EVENING

A reminder is given that the Ngāti Pāoa Iwi Trust will be facilitating a ‘Meet the Candidate’ Evening on Wednesday 14 October 2026. This will be an online event (broadcast by Zoom) and further details will be advised at a later date. Ngāti Pāoa Iwi Trust invites registered members and their whānau to join us online.

INVITATION TO REGISTER

Ngāti Pāoa Iwi Trust invites qualified persons aged 18 years or over, who have not already registered, to apply for inclusion on the Ngāti Pāoa Iwi Trust Register. Registration forms are obtainable online at www.paoa.co.nz or by emailing the Trust on: registration@paoa.co.nz.
